The Harpenden Collective

I really enjoy working at The Harpenden Collective. It’s a warm, welcoming community, and the space itself is bright, airy and beautifully decorated. I love the meeting room overlooking the garden. The organised events are fantastic for meeting other freelancers and small businesses. I also appreciate the various workspace packages offering me the flexibility I need. I get so much more done here than working form home!

I've been working at The Harpenden Collective for almost 2 years now, and for the last few months, in the new space at Red Gables, which is fantastic! The new space offers a number of different areas to work in, including really flexible packages like the 'lounge hours' option, which I've found really useful in addition to my monthly desk plan. There are also plenty of spaces to take calls or have meetings if you want somewhere more private, as well as a lovely garden too. It's quiet (but not too quiet), and sociable (as much or as little as you want though), and there's a great programme of events from more business focused things such as AI seminars, to a run club + monthly afterwork drinks. It's really changed the way I work, and I've made new friends + found a local community, which is what I was looking for as well as somewhere professional to work.

Three business partners and I very much enjoyed the meeting room in the Harpenden Collective's historic building. It meant we had a quiet space in which we could work together without interruption. A very big "thank you" to Carolyn for her warm welcome and her being attentive to our needs. It is without hesitation that we highly recommend the Harpenden Collective.

I've been a member at The Harpenden Collective since autumn 2020 and I feel like the space has become like a second home. The members and staff are so friendly, the work environment is great and the breakout rooms for meetings are a bonus. There is a real sense of community here. It's a perfect location, handy for the town and the station. The facilities are great - business grade internet, complimentary tea and coffee and best of all are the events, which vary all year and are great social events. I love the flexibility of co-working, there are options available to suit everyone. I would recommend this workspace to anyone who is looking to co-work, you won't regret it.

The Harpenden Collective is a really welcoming and friendly community. I love attending their events and have recently become a member to enable me to attend more! They really listen to their community and find out what would be useful for them to learn about next. Along with exercise sessions, co-working and social get togethers it's great to feel part of a wider team when you're self-employed. Natalie, Sebia and Jo are all so lovely and have created a fabulous community of local businesses.
