Code of Practice

Last updated: 4 November 2026

1. Introduction

Right Space aims to support a transparent, trustworthy and professional marketplace for flexible workspace and business venue services.

This Code of Practice sets out the standards expected of participating operators who agree to be bound by it.

The publication of an unclaimed listing does not mean that the operator has accepted this Code.

2. Accurate Advertising

Participating operators should ensure that descriptions of their venues, facilities and services are accurate, current and not misleading.

Photographs should fairly represent the facilities being advertised.

3. Transparent Pricing

Operators should clearly communicate relevant charges, including where applicable:

  • Licence or rental fees.
  • Membership fees.
  • Deposits.
  • Setup or administration charges.
  • Additional service charges.
  • Applicable taxes.
  • Minimum contractual commitments.

Material restrictions and additional charges should not be concealed.

4. Professional Communications

Operators should respond to enquiries professionally and within a reasonable timeframe.

Communications should be clear, courteous and respectful.

5. Fair Treatment

Operators should treat prospective customers fairly and comply with applicable equality, consumer protection and other relevant laws.

6. Honest Availability

Operators should avoid advertising workspace or services as available when they know that the information is materially inaccurate.

Where availability changes, listings should be updated as reasonably practicable.

7. Contractual Transparency

Operators should explain material contractual terms before a customer commits.

These may include:

  • Minimum term.
  • Notice requirements.
  • Break clauses.
  • Deposit arrangements.
  • Renewal provisions.
  • Restrictions on use.
  • Additional costs.

8. Responsible Data Handling

Operators receiving enquiries should process personal information lawfully and in accordance with applicable data protection requirements.

Contact details received through Right Space should not be used for unrelated marketing without an appropriate legal basis.

9. Complaints and Disputes

Operators should provide a reasonable mechanism for customers to raise concerns and should seek to resolve disputes professionally.

10. Compliance

Participating operators are responsible for complying with laws and regulations applicable to their services and premises.

Right Space does not independently certify compliance merely because an operator appears in the directory.

11. Breaches

Where an operator has agreed to this Code and materially fails to comply, Right Space may request corrective action or take proportionate steps concerning the operator's listing or account.

12. Our Commitment

Right Space aims to provide a useful, accessible and professionally managed directory, maintain reasonable listing standards and respond appropriately to reported inaccuracies or misuse.
